Imagining and Building Sustainable Futures
The contribution of human and social sciences to understanding social, cultural, economic and technological transformations.
A Journey Through Time
How social and human sciences help build the future
Human and social sciences offer fundamental tools to imagine, interpret and design the future. The annual conference of the CNR DSU Department is dedicated to exploring how different research communities contribute to understanding social, cultural, economic and technological transformations and guide them towards an inclusive and sustainable perspective.
A time traveler, eclectic and visionary scientist, dreams of seeing what the future will be like and lands in 2026 to observe how the future is built through the work of human and social sciences. Following the five thematic sessions into which the conference is organized, he discovers that the future is not just a distant horizon, but something that takes shape in the decisions and practices of the present.
